To whom it may concern, Applied online throughout August 2014, carried out a skype interview 3-4 weeks later. First time, they stood me up on Skype due to the unavailability of one interviewer/manager at the time and I was not contacted before so the skype interview was postponed. I was eventually interviewed by two employees, one manager and one assistant. The manager had clearly not read nor checked my resumé beforehand. They started off by explaining the company's history, it's founder, the several departments (all info is already on the website/internet but it's a normal interview routine) the environment in which MC operates. I was then asked to introduce myself and explain why I'd like to get an internship at MC. Then the manager asked me basic questions about the European Commission (knowledge and/or experience working at the EU is a strong advantage to them) or knowledge/experience in Marketing/PR/Events management is also a definite plus to them. They seek after undergrads or freshly graduates in international relations/European Studies/Communication/Media related fields of study to fill up their intern positions which is fine when you are looking for experience. The internship was paid at the time for € 400 in Berlin so please consider the offer carefully and do not hesitate to ask for further info/feedback from previous interns. The more languages you speak and write the better naturally. I was also under the impression, they seek experienced undergrads/grads in their business fields who first are hired with internship contracts and who eventually *might* get a job offer and who will accept criticism (in my opinion, it may also mean who can potentially be managed by nerve breaking type of people -it's only an impression!) Please beware of the words they use during the interview, and they *may* not let you ask questions at the end (they did not let me) so feel free to ask quickly ask important questions when it's the thank you time.
