My experience during the interview for the (Senior) Sales Strategy & Market Manager role was deeply disappointing due to a significant lack of professionalism from the interviewers.
Inappropriate Comments: The interview began on a highly unprofessional note. Before introductions, one of the interviewers commented on my physical appearance, specifically questioning my skin texture and asking if I was using a "beauty filter" (I was using a standard background blur). This was followed by inappropriate laughter. Such comments are unacceptable in a corporate environment and felt like a breach of personal boundaries.
Lack of Engagement: Throughout the rest of the call, there was a visible lack of interest. The Lead of the department appeared detached and unenthusiastic, which was surprising for a leadership role in New Business. There was no genuine exchange of information or interest in my professional background.
Misleading Communication: At the end of the call, I was told that the next step would be a logic/thinking assessment. However, I never received it and instead was sent a generic rejection email two days later. The disconnect between the "pleasant conversation" mentioned in the email and the actual judgmental atmosphere of the meeting was jarring.
