I went through three round of interviews over the span of a month or so. I received a verbal offer from HR. They told me the written contract would take a while to process, which in response I asked if I still had job security. They responded yes. A couple weeks later they informed me there was a 50/50 chance of the position being approved because of 2022 budget allocation decisions. I was told they were 'going to bat' to get my position approved, and a few days later retracted the offer. HR blamed supply chain issues. The interview process was straightforward and timely, but the process afterward was unclear. From my experience, iRobot poured hours and resources into recruiting someone for the Reliability Engineer role without prior approval, then strung me along until they got the word that the position wasn't approved. Overall, the employees seemed great but the organization and communication towards potential candidates can use some work.
