The interviewer showed up 20 minutes late, took a quick glance at my resume and asked some basic "tell me about yourself," and "what interested you in this job?" type of questions. Then she said without industry experience, there's nothing I can do for you.
Why, then, did I get dressed up and waste my time coming here, especially when your website specifically says, "If you are interested in joining us then send us your resume, even if you do not think you are an exact fit for any of the available positions listed." (direct quote from geoAMPS.com) Extremely unprofessional.
I saw other reviews saying similar stuff, but took it with a grain of salt, thinking some probably came from disgruntled people. I am not upset I didn't get an offer. If I'm not qualified, so be it. But I am angry that my time was wasted, as my resume clearly shows that I have no experience in the industry. I am angry that I wasn't even given a chance to sell myself.
To me, such an experience sets them up for a discrimination lawsuit, because maybe my resume looked worth considering, but when they saw me, they suddenly became concerned about specific industry experience. Something doesn't add up here.
