Had an initial screening call with a recruiter. Standard questions about experience, personality, etc.
Had a technical interview with a technical person. In general, the interview was pretty normal. This person did have strange technical questions, very "textbook" type, stuff you learn in school but would never need to know in the real world. They did not evaluate actual developer ability.
A few red flags I saw:
-The job was listed as hybrid with 2 days on-site. The interviewer then said it was actually full-time on-site.
-After passing through 2 rounds of interviews, I received no further communication from them. Obviously, they chose to move forward with another candidate (which is fine) but a more refined process would at least send a polite "Thank you for your time" email.
