J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez censhare en mai 2019

      Entretien

The recruitment process included two skype interviews. The interviews were mostly technical discussions, no coding challenges. It took about one month. Then I had one on-site interview. I traveled to Munich to meet the team. All the transportation and accommodation costs were covered. The team was easy-going, honest, nice and friendly.

      1. Initial round was with an HR and the Team Lead. Just understanding the job role and you as a candidate. Both were nice people. 2. The second round was in their office with a so-called "Technical Architect" and a so-called "Scrum Master". The questions from the scrum master were kinda funny, I still wonder what those questions had to do with the job role. On the other hand, the Technical Architect didn't seem to have so much grasp on using Cloud Technologies, so he was only expecting me to answer what he considers to be an answer. He asked few questions related to the problems that they are facing with their legacy code (dealing with files). He was mentioning about files often, and I have no idea why we need to keep all user data in the form of files. I felt like it's the legacy code, and the answers were expected to fix only that and I wasn't expected to give a different solution!! In the end, it was a total waste of time for me. Surprisingly, after the interview, their behavior changed totally and the politeness vanished in minutes. They themselves started discussing about some of their meetings, with me saying "thank you". Overall, it wasn't a good experience. Nevertheless, I already have 3 offers, I thought of trying here as the Glassdoor reviews are very good (which I am doubtful about now). My advice is that be aware of the legacy code that you will be fixing, then only think of trying.

Is there anything that you love the most in your life but can't explain it to friends? (I was like "really?!!" :D)

Dear candidate, We are sorry to hear that your interview experience with us wasn’t positive. It is very important for us to create a welcoming atmosphere and we would like to apologise if this wasn’t the case for you. As our Scrum Masters are also responsible for people management topics they want to understand the candidate behind the CV. Taking our time for an interview means that we can address questions regarding the job role as well as your personal story. We believe that during the interview process both parties involved should receive as whole an impression of each other as possible. Candidates apply to become members of our company and in the same way, we apply to the candidates as their prospective future employer. We would like to encourage all candidates to challenge us with questions and address all relevant technical topics until they also have a comprehensive picture of our company and the working environment. Kind regards, Your People & Organization team
