I applied for the job and received the rejection email roughly a month after my application.
Much to my surprise, two weeks later after the receiving the rejection email I received a call from the TA coordinator asking a few basic questions about my experience, education and availability.
She contacted me later that day to schedule an interview with 2 recruiters .
The interview was a pleasant conversation, they asked some behavioural questions but overall it was a very casual discussion.
However, the feeling I got after it ended was that the result of the interview depends on their opinion of you rather than your skill set and what you can bring to the company - this is what experts call Affinity bias.
After the interview, no feedback was provided. I just received the same generic rejection email that I previously received when applying to other vacancies.
Although the company and the culture seem very cool, I have had a far superior candidate experience with other companies that don't have neither the same budget or resources.
