adidas' HR called me up one month after I had submitted my application. I accepted to be phone interviewed the week after that by the hiring manager. I never received an email confirming the time and date of the interview from HR. No contact details to HR, nor to the hiring manager, were communicated to me.
I had the impression the phone interview went rather well. At the end of the interview, I was told the hiring manager would have more interviews until the end of the week and that HR would get back to me to let me know if they had decided to proceed with me or not. A week after the interview, I did some detective work and eventually figured out the email address of HR. I then emailed HR to confirm my interest in the position. A few days later, HR replied to my email saying they were still awaiting feedback from the hiring manager but that they would get back to me as soon as they knew more. I still haven't heard back from HR or the hiring manager though, which is very disappointing since it's now been eight weeks since I had my interview.
I was very disappointed in the neglect with which I was treated during the process. However, I'm happy I didn't end up landing a job with the company - if I'm treated like this during the recruitment process, I can only imagine what it would be like on a day-to-day basis as an employee.
