      Entretien

      Interview process was quick and communication was great from the hiring manager. Had 3-4 interviews that felt more like conversations and then received an offer. Couldn't have asked for a better process or experience.

      J'ai passé un entretien chez Zscaler (Singapour) en août 2021

      I am extremely unhappy with the process and I do not recommend anyone to consider. It took 7 months for the process, since a recruiter reached out to me initially (I was a passive candidate from their competitor). The recruiter who is based in India called me and he does not know have any idea how the work visa system in Singapore. He claimed that he is looking after APAC hiring.... (I am highly doubtful) Re: interview process, he told me that there will be 3 interviews to complete the process 1) with him 2) with his manager Head of recruiting APAC 3) with someone from the business /Hiring Manager that I will support During the interview with the recruiter, (2nd time I had a call with him, first one was just casual introduction), he asked me "Find candidates who will be good fit for Zscaler based on the job description" - They basically asking me to source candidates for free. This is something recruiting agency does with them get paid to do so. I said, I cannot give names but I can share with how I do my search instead. After that I had a call with Head of recruiting APAC. After that nobody has connecting me for 3 months. So I thought I was not selected. Then I received an email saying "Congratulations that you have completed all interviews" which I did not, I still did not talk to the business. They asked me to provide personal details which includes, passport number which is I was uncomfortable to share to someone who has not yet even send me an offer letter or any contracts. Told the recruiter, I am not comfortable to share my personal details, then he said ok, later on. Thought the offer negotiation, the recruiter never initiated to pick up a call or video call to talk (which clearly speed up to finalise offer information) and he kept messaging me on whatsapp or emails. which takes longer to back and forth. I asked him to do video calls several times. Then again it stopped, no updates for another 2 months. At this point, i was not interested in this company, how messy the internal structure is,, so it was not the place i would like to be part of ... Anyways I followed up after a month, "Any update?" The same recruiter he said there are new recruiting manager who joined with them, he will hand it over to her. She was equality terrible in my opinion, she told me, how amazing her career has been... She said the team is interested to hire me and can extend offer right away but if I want to talk to the business, she can set up a time to speak with Head of Japan. So I said yes (of course I need to talk to my client to be). The head of Japan I spoke, it was clearly he is asking "problem" they have now to hire in Zscaler in Japan and looking for answers. Not very impressed with the internal culture either. After the interview, the recruiter followed up with me, and told her that I have a competing offer from another company which is much larger organization. She kept asking "So are you going to take that offer?" "Are you serious about this job opportunity?" "Are you going to accept if we extended offer to you?" That was unprofessional for recruiting manager to ask me.. and she kept asking me about the role I am talking to from another company. Told her " It's not about another company" I am also not sure about your process I have been waiting for the offer that I have promise to receive for more than few months. "Are you sure you are going to send me an offer to me?" Then stop communication for a week. Asked what is going on, then she said "there are other candidate who is also speaking with the Head of Japan" *In my head, I thought she could send me an offer right away when we talked 2 weeks ago. Now conveniently there are other candidates. So asked "When can you get back to me by?" She gave me 2 weeks later. So I waited asked her, any update? She said "We have moved forward with another candidate" The entire process is BS and waste of my time. No consistent, no urgency to hire, that's probably show their internal system, how opperate. Quite disappointed but I am very happy where I am now.. FYI: There benefit is very bad, so you need to be careful not fell in sick...
