Entretien
The whole process took 4 weeks only to be told that the position is abruptly kept on hold. It was a tad disappointing to hear this after going through 4 rounds (including HR screening). I feel it is being disrespectful to the time, effort and energy a candidate invests in the interview process. The interviews are scheduled by an AI tool and we literally don't have a human HR point of contact to get in touch with for status updates which makes the overall experience not great.

Question 1
I was quizzed around the following topics:
- Cloud, Microservices, SRE principles, System Design.
- 2 Coding questions: 1 of Leetcode Medium difficulty and a terraform scenario.
Thank you for sharing your experience interviewing for the Site Reliability Engineer position at Zoom. It's unfortunate that the process was lengthy and ultimately unsatisfactory due to the role being put on hold. Your feedback about the lack of direct HR communication and the use of AI tools is especially valuable, and we will take this into consideration moving forward.

Entretien
Zoom HR is very quick to respond and so is their interview process. You will be contacted through email in few days of applying if your resume matches the requirements.
HR will contact you and get your details and check if it matches and will start technical rounds as per your availability.
You will either have two rounds or one long round with all panel. As per your feedback, a round with hiring manager will be scheduled and if all goes ok you'll again get contacted by HR for joining formalities.

Question 1
Questions are mostly as per your skill set. But they will cover everything as per requirement. In my case it varied from Ansible, Terraform, Linux, Cloud, Kubernetes and basic SRE problems. There may be whiteboard problems as well for nearly all areas. But they also respect your skill sets and ask from your expertise area as well.
