At the first interview, the HR asked my marriage status, after she knew I am married, asked if I plan to have child. The questions touched a lot privacy. After the interview, the company informed that they won’t move forward to next steps. No matter the rejection is about the personal status or capability, it all hurts the branding of the company.

The interview process is a five-step process that includes two case studies designed to evaluate your research capabilities. The case studies are completed independently, and you’re given more than enough time to work through them. Overall, the process is thorough and well-structured, though it can feel a bit formulaic at times since each interviewer follows a predetermined set of questions. That said, everyone I spoke with was extremely friendly and easy to talk to, which made the experience much more comfortable. There’s not much specific preparation you can do beyond reviewing the company’s research style and being ready to think critically.
