      They are quick with feedback, but it was easily the worst interview experience I’ve had which is ironic for a company that stresses the candidate experience. I was originally rejected by the hiring manager who never spoke with me, after completing an outreach plan that ended with a mock call with the director. I was told I did extremely well and I seemed like a great culture fit, the only thing I missed the mark on was the ‘rejection emails’ portion of the exercise. After pushing back, I had an interview set up with the hiring manager that went well. There were no reservations with my abilities or from the interview itself, and she said my final would be shorter since I spoke with her already. A couple days later she called me and told me she’s not moving forward because they’re looking for more leadership experience and someone with a background in sales recruitment. I told her those two things were something they knew all along, why waste your time and mine with a follow up interview if you knew my background doesn’t match what you’re looking for? Overall, I don’t believe they were transparent about the real reason(s) they rejected me. Also, ironic that my ‘rejection’ portion was not up to par when they’re dishonest about feedback. Advice: Just be honest with candidates. Don’t waste their time and then lie afterwards to cover your tracks.
