Yelp has a long process. A trivia quiz from the recruiter, an assignment, a phone screen, and an onsite panel. In the onsite panel interviews, I was asked some of the usual data-structures and algorithms questions, but unlike companies like Google and Airbnb, Yelp actually asked questions about my past experience, as well as system-design questions, and why I'm interested in working there! I think this makes for a much more effective engineering workforce. Of course you want to hire people that can code an algorithm, but you also want to hire for many other important programming / workplace skills.
