J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Yelp (Londres, Angleterre) en févr. 2021
Entretien
Five thirty-minute interviews with various people around the product team (PMs, designers, managers, no engineers). Questions asked are low level, implementation-oriented, such as how would you design a "booking feature"? This made me wonder about the seniority of PMs I was talking to, despite their shiny titles. The interviews tend to be a classical question-answer type. Some interviewers said they wanted to hear my reasoning, but later it appeared like they were just interested in the particular ideas. The best discussion I had was with the designer. In general, it seems that Yelp copied the pm hiring process from Facebook but didn't implement or understand it fully yet.

Had a screening call, everything went great, she said she would be moving me onto the next round and follow up with those details in a few days. A week went by with no update so I politely followed up. No response. Another week went by and I followed up one last time. No response. I took this as "I didn't get selected for the next round of interviews" and moved on. About a month later I saw another position that I aligned with open up. I filled out the application and upon landing in their careers portal I saw a status of "No Show" for the previous position. I then followed up with the recruiter again to see if she could shed some light on that. Two weeks later, here I am with yet again no response.

This was great, after knowing all this information I think you'd be a great candidate and want to move you forward through the process. Does this position still sound appealing to you and would you like to move forward?
The phone interviewer is a principle PM from the hiring team. There are 3 parts of the interview: introduce yourself, previous experience, and a product sense question. The first 2 parts were pretty standard, the last part was based on a current product from Yelp.
