First the recruiter invited me for an interview, then he canceled the interview citing that the role has been put on hold, and then a few weeks later he sends a rejection email from a different email id. This is the most unprofessional interaction I've ever dealt with.

Disrespectful!, they interview you then don't reply!, details below.
First, a recruiter called me and we discussed my technical experiences and the role. The salary was really too low for the position and he told me that he will forward my profile to the team lead to determine if the salary can be reached and reply to me within the week (which is quite standard for the role requirement). More than a week later I got no reply so I sent a reminder, he replied and said he forwarded my CV and he will get back to me soon. A month later after his reply, I still got no reply, so I requested that my profile be deleted, again no reply!. Finally, more than 2 weeks later I get a general rejection email!, worst recruitment experience!

3 steps. A phone screen with a data scientist, followed by a tech test and on site.
Phone screen was a mix of competency and technical questions.
Tech test was a 24h timed test.
