      Entretien

I had in total of 3 interviews for the role I was applying for. First a prescreening with the recruiter of 30 minutes, then a telephone interview with one of the hiring managers who was not in the country and finally a face to face interview in their offices. For the second interview, the hiring manager had forgotten that there was an interview planned so after 20 minutes waiting for the call I had to contact the recruiter and she rescheduled the interview for another day. Then the day of the interview the hiring manager did not call and after 10 minutes I contacted the recruiter and this time the hiring manager called back immediately. Then a face to face interview was scheduled. For the position I was applying in the job description it was mentioned that only English and French was required; however, on the face to face interview the hiring manager started the interview in Dutch and continued talking in Dutch thought the interview ... My Dutch had been already tested in the prescreening call and it was clear my Dutch level from the beginning and since it was not mentioned as a requirement in the job description I inferred that it wouldn't be a matter. However, then the feedback I received was that my Dutch was not good enough for the role. If it would have been clear from the beginning that Dutch was a requirement and even more important if it would have been mentioned in the job description, then nobody would have lost his time. I sent this feedback to the recruiter and she did not reply to my mail.
