As part of the interview process, I received an email. My expectation was that once I was on Skype I would schedule and interview the intern, however, the interview was conducted via Skype chat

Beware of fake interview!!! I applied through LinkedIn. I got an email inviting me to continue in the interview process. 1st had to fill out questionnaire, the. I was I visited to a briefing meeting with HR. They only asked me basic questions and told me about the position. I was hired on the spot and sent and offer of employment. All of this is happening vis Skype chat. Was told training would also be through chat 5 days for 1 hours. I was sent a cashiers check to by “programming”, but they could not provided me with a direct phone number. Immediately cutoff conversation as they wanted me to deposit this check and send them a screenshot as proof.

We conduct in-person or video interviews (cameras on) for all individuals who we hire. We would never send a cashier’s check such as you have described.
