      Entretien

This was by far the most unprofessional and unorganized interview process I ever had to go through and was a complete waste of time. Initially, I thought this was a good opportunity to get your foot in the door for clinical experience for COVID testing but I'm glad this opportunity didn't work out and want others to be aware of what they are getting themselves into. Below is a breakdown in list-format of my "interview" with Worksite Labs and my thoughts: 1.) I applied on Indeed and was prompted to take an online assessment. Questions asked about your previous experience working in a lab, RT-PCR, and why do you want to do COVID testing. Easy. 2.) Phone interview. Questions were similar to the online assessment. Questions also included your shift availability, pay range, and the common "tell me about yourself" request. I mentioned I was available 1st shift (have some flexibility to cover 2nd shift). They claimed by shift availability was what they were looking for and that the pay range was $35-40/hr just like how it was posted on Indeed. 3. In-person assessment. There was a group of 6 prospects at the time and we toured the incomplete lab which literally had one biosafety cabinet and a couple of benches. Our assessment included us pipetting water and showing us a binder with incomplete protocols that we had to read on our own. Process took about 3 hours when it could have been done <1... 4. "Training" - this was by far the most disappointing. A group of 4 prospects were notified through email in <24hrs to perform the training at 4pm next day before we were to handle live COVID 19 samples. In short, we were training and pipetting LIVE COVID swabs first thing with ONE to NO biosafety cabinet and processed 400+ swabs prior to training sign-off. Our trainers were having us work UNPAID for 6.5 hrs while dangerously being expose to COVID. I'm surprised no one has reported them to OSHA yet. Conclusion: By the end of "training", our trainers said we all got the job and we all would get paid $32/hr (despite $35/hr job posting) plus for training but can only work 2nd shift. It's been 3 weeks now I haven't received my offer/rejection letter and I worked for 6.5hrs FOR FREE in dangerous conditions. THIS MISLEADING COMPANY DOES NOT PUT YOUR SAFETY FIRST AND WILL WORK YOU TO YOUR GRAVE. So, steer clear.
