The process started out at straight-forward, but then dragged out for 5 months until I was eventually ghosted by the hiring manager, who said I was the lead candidate at one point. I didn't hear from HR or anyone after 5 months of interviewing with multiple levels across the company. I didn't even get a response to my "just checking in" email to HR or the hiring manager, and learned through LinkedIn that the role had been filled.
