The interview process seemed slow, spanning two months from the initial recruiter call to the final conversation with the hiring manager. One notable issue was that the team they were hiring for didn’t match the posted job description, and the recruiter mentioned early on that many candidates don’t pass the technical screens which set a somewhat discouraging tone.
The interview structure itself was standard: recruiter screen, technical screen, and a virtual onsite spread across multiple days (design, coding, product, and company principles). References were contacted before an offer was extended, which is uncommon in my experience.
There was misleading communication about a package being put together (mentioned several times) which could be construed as an offer package, but no offer was ultimately extended.
Very kind, efficient. Everyone was very communicative ands the whole process went smoothly. Very open to schedule as needed for the many rounds to go through. Would recommend trying to apply.

It had 4 rounds - Tech screen, Coding, System Design, Product Sense.
They were standard except for product sense round, which was discussion.
The interviewers were kind, and supportive. Overall good experience.

The interview process at Whatnot started with a recruiter phone screen to discuss my background and interest in the platform. After that, I had a technical screen focused on algorithmic problem-solving and data structures.
