Had a phone interview then was called in for a face to face interview
I’m a top sales agent at another company for many years. I did very well in the phone interview but the face to face did not go as well.
As soon as I walked in the interview room the expression on the managers face dropped in disappointment, I disregarded and answered all questions to the best of my ability but both hiring managers continuously asked “why should WE hire you” after the 5th time (and I’m not exaggerating) it became pretty uncomfortable. By the end they suggested I work for a different county instead. The next day the manager from the other county further away called and stated that I lived to far and the commute may be a bit much.
A year later I was called for a interview again and it was virtual. The 2021 interview went well and I never received a call for a second interview even though I was told I would.
About a year after that I see that they hired 2 field agents for the position that I applied for and both were caucasian men. One of them I previously worked with and he did not have the credentials I had/have. This has weighed on me for several years because I have not seen 1 African American woman field agent in the Tampa Bay or Pinellas county area and this concerns me. Someone should review the hiring practices of this company
