Probably the most unprofessional interview I’ve ever had in my career. Scheduled an initial interview with one person to talk about the role and my experience. First off, there was someone on the call who wasn’t on the invite. Felt like they wanted to “trick” me by surprising me with a technical interview when framing it as something else. Secondly, I made my experience very clear with what I knew and did not know. Even so, the surprise engineer continued to ask me very specific questions that obviously did not pertain to my experience. It seemed like he wanted someone who had exactly the same background he had. He was extremely condescending, and I was ready to leave the interview after 5 minutes. Lastly, the other interviewer ended the call telling me to prepare for an interview next time and girl power! I would avoid this company due to their condescending/unprofessional culture.
