Responded to a job listing , and within hours got a first screening phone interview. Merely a brief chat to verify a match with the qualifications. No remarks. Friendly, professional, and to the point. Proceeded to interview some days later. Interviewers indicated to have significantly less experience than me. The interview turned out to be a hunt for solutions to their current challenges. Rather than an actual hiring interest. When they subsequently called about a week later to follow-up they not only indicated to have misunderstood the one example interview question below, but listed this as the reason for not making an offer. Was impervious to realize said mistake, and I was left utterly disappointed.
