I applied for the Westfield store in Stratford and overall experience was a breeze. You just need to be yourself. I was in a group interview with 12 other girls. There was the store manager and 2 other lovely ladies (forgot their roles!) They definitely made things easier by being nice and bubbly so not as intimidating as I thought. Here’s how it went:
1) Everyone was split into groups of 4 and we were asked to name one fun fact about ourselves.
3) We then filled out sheets about hours and availability.
3) After we went on to do some exercises. First one was to build a bridge out of coffee stirrers and tape which should support the weight of a small object (race car in my case)
4) We were then given a bunch of underwear and a colour chart and we had to sort them out in the way they would be displayed in the store.
5) Everyone was then sent out and 2 of us would be called in at the same time to do the task of selling their products (lasted 2 minutes)
6) Last bit of the assessment was being asked interview style questions. I think each individual was asked 2 questions each. For this part we stayed in our group. One of the ladies just came to a table and asked the questions to each of us.
7) Everyone then threw in questions they had about the role and whatnot.
We were then told we would be contacted of the outcome of our application by either email or telephone.
TIP: Wear all black and smart clothing to the interview. That's the store uniform so don't try to be a rebel. It's stated online uniform in store is "smart business" however in the assessment the store manager said the look is more "sexy and empowering". So I guess it depends on the store and management. And definitely be vocal. Try to take charge but at the same time, work with your group. It's about standing out at the end of the day.

Interview was fairly easy. My hiring manager had me there on the spot for onboarding. Process went fairly quickly, and I was trained shortly after. I started on the week of black Friday which was a little rough, but it wasn't too bad. My hiring manager was kind but some of the other managers aren't as nice.

I applied through their careers page and received a confirmation email. The store manager texted to schedule a 30 minute, easygoing in-person interview. Shortly after, I was called and offered the job, with employment forms sent via email.

I have never felt more disrespected and belittled in an interview in my life. My job history was ridiculed, my character was ridiculed. I’m well above the age of being a minor and I was talked down to as such. My interview lasted a whopping 7 minutes.. I was 10 minutes early… I do not remember the name of the woman who interviewed me, but I highly recommend finding anyone else to interview candidates. She didn’t know how to talk to me without a condescending tone and attitude, and what was expected, schedule wise, of the position was not fully mentioned in the job listing. I filled out the application on Victoria’s Secrets’ website, filled out the availability form online, but still was made to refill it out in person and reiterated my entire job history. The job history I filled out manually on their website, and then attached the file for my resume. Still, I was made to reiterate the last 3 job I had, was stopped before the forth job, and belittled that all I have to show is seasonal work. My interviewer had no want to get to know me or my circumstances. She did not care about the interview process and she treated me like I was wasting her time even though the store had 0 customers at the time. If she was willing to treat and talk to me like that during interview, how would I had been treated after I was hired?
