Phone screen first was a 30 minute call where they asked soft skills questions like "how do you handle competing priorities". That was followed by a in-person interview where they asked me to demonstrate technical skills. They showed me a string and a sql query that produced a similar string. I had to modify the query to produce the model string exactly. It involved knowing how to format dates and looking at details like missing commas. A bonus question involved knowing that if a column is named with a reserved word you have to enclose it in square brackets. They also wanted to see that I know how to use Google to search for obscure SQL syntax.
