      J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Verkada (Austin, TX) en oct. 2023

      Entretien

      Interview with recruiter/sourcer was high-energy and a great experience. Expectations were set clearly. Initial discussion with hiring manager was fantastic as well. Invited to on-site interview with several leaders. Recruiter was great again at setting expectations, coaching the interview, etc., intentionally revealing at this time that there were also internal candidates for the role that they wanted to hire. then was hit with a barrage of out of left field, completely irrelevant questions by one of the 4 interviewers, questioning personal integrity, career path, sales skills, level of sales experience, etc. by a director in their mid to late 20s when I've got more than two decades of experience in multiple verticals to their three years in sales, all with the company. The guy was a clown and used internal jargon that was difficult to decipher as it's not used anywhere I've worked (4 major companies selling in both enterprise and SMB SaaS environments). The culture and in-office experience looked and felt toxic from the start. While walking through the office, wearing a black suit & white shirt as one might for an interview, another employee wearing homemade cutoff jorts made a verbal comment asking where the funeral was, then stated that the style went out in the '80s. While it's a funny comment you might make among friends busting balls, it's clearly not a professional work environment. Recruiter promised nearly immediate feedback after the interviews, as I was leaving the office. I followed up three times over the course of 10 days to the entire interview team. The emails weren't even opened (or they blocked the tracking pixel in my emails) and zero communication back from the team for several weeks. Overall a giant waste of time - ultimately appeared that they were just trying to fill an EEO requirement by interviewing external candidates.
