Recruited via LinkedIn. I didn't get the gig, but I must say the process and how it was handled was top-notch. I went from being happy in my current job to actually WANTING to work for Verkada, to not getting an offer, so it turned out to be a very bittersweet experience. Phone screen, typical sales questions, followed by a past sales performance call where they just stick your numbers on a spreadsheet, then recruiter prepped me for the on-site interview itself, and then the on-site consisted of 4 back-to-back interviews by another AE, then a regional manager, then the West coast sales manager, followed by the director of sales for the company. Everyone was cool, and I honestly felt like I had good answers to everything. I would've had to relocate, and my gut says that they had applicants who were closer to HQ that would've been cheaper to hire for the mid-market level they were looking to fill. Also, based on my performance at current company, I might've been too pricey and they probably were looking to save a buck. Recruiter actually gave a damn and took the time to call and let me know I didn't get it. For anyone who's interviewed a lot, this is a rarity and honestly it really helps to know flat-out that you didn't get the job, as opposed to getting strung along or just ghosted entirely.
