The opportunity came from a staffing agency. After initial talk with staffing agency, the recruiter spoke and explained about the company and the kind of work they do. Got a take home assignment on React and one week time to work on it.

I received a message from their recruiter on Linkedin, after the intro call, they told me the position had been filled but my profile was flagged. They reached out ~1 month again later to schedule a tech screen. The interview was with the Hiring manager, mostly coding and quizzing me on React knowledge.
