      Entretien pour Customer Service Representative

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Verizon (Baltimore, MD) en janv. 2009

      Entretien

Shortly after submitting my resume online, I was called to complete a phone interview where in preparation, I was asked to read their "Credo." I was also asked some basic questions about my background and experience. On the following phone interview, another person called and asked me what stood out to me about the credo. We went over my background and experience again, then scheduled a testing. The testing involves a personality test and call center skills test. If you fail, you are not allowed to retake it for 6 months. If you pass, you get to watch a video about how much all the employees love working there and how much they love the Credo. Immediately following the test, I was set up for an interview with a supervisor, 1:1. The supervisor asks questions in the STAR format. This is their basic interviewing template for all jobs, so get familiar with responding to it. Many other companies use this format as well. They ask you some more common interview questions, asking you to rate yourself on a scale of 1-10 on a few personality traits and behaviors. After this, I was invited to a meet and greet with a group of other applicants where the associate directors and supervisors sat in a panel and asked us questions and we got a chance to ask questions in a group-style format. After this, you receive a phone call letting you know you've passed on to the next step which is a drug test within 24 hours. Following this, you have to complete a VERY RIGOROUS background check which includes verification of past employment, so DO NOT lie on your resume/application unless you can get some official documents to back it up (W2, tax return, pay stub, etc.). They also want a copy of your high school diploma and degree if you tell them you have one. Please have these available because if the background check cannot be completed in the days before your training starts, you may be denied entry. Overall, the interview process seems to put a lot of pressure on applicants, but don't stress! During hiring phases, the company tends to hire over 100 applicants at a time.

The interview was conducted virtually. It was for the customer service position. Mostly I was questioned about how I would handle various scenarios, for assisting clients. I was asked some real world examples and asked to handle them.

Lengthy and the paperwork is extremely confusing to fill out and submit. Thank you. But other than that really nice people. They hire through a 3rd party called Rose International…. Very helpful people

Unprofessional interview, and unfair. Being bilingual and many years of customer service experience they decided to pass due to many years of experience. The interviewer also looked unorganized and was bias.
