I applied online and received a phone call and e-mail to set up an initial phone interview the next day. The phone interview was with an HR rep from corporate, just doing a lot of screening questions and mainly going over my resume. I was passed onto a second phone interview for later that week, which again asked basic questions over my resume, why do I want to work at Verizon, and a few more in-depth situational questions about my current position, and then gave me information on an in-person interview with the manager of the store I applied at.
The in-person interview went extremely well, I thought. Most all of the questions are situational ("tell me about a time....") and they do ask you to roleplay and sell a phone to them. I left the interview feeling extremely well, and was told I would get a call back whether or not I'd be receiving an offer the next week.
And that's where it started to get a little more gray. The next week I never received a phone call as promised. The week after, I called the manager and left a voice message reaffirming how interested I was in the position, and to please let me know if they'd made a decision yet. About three weeks later, I received an e-mail from corporate at 1:30 in the morning with a generic sorry, but no. I completely understand if it went to an internal candidate, it sounded like they had a lot of current employees who had applied - in fact I'd say that's a good thing, since it shows that the company hires and promotes from within. But after going through three interviews, I think a two minute phone call would have shown a lot of professionalism.

I applied online and passed the online assessment, I then did a video interview and after had to wait a while until I was contacted for a job offer. The interview consisted of STAR scenario questions which were all fairly easy. Once I got the offer they started the background check which took 8 days to clear.

There were three parts to my hiring process. 1. The recruiter called me and asked me questions. 2. I spoke to the Assistant Manager. They asked me standard questions and we role-played a standard sale. 3. I did an in-person interview with the General Manager. We also did a role-play as well. BE PREPARED FOR THAT.
