I had a three-round interview, including a phone interview with the Director of Content, a video panel interview with the Director and three copywriters, and a final video interview with the Director and the VP of Marketing. Communication was prompt and clear. While the interviews were largely informal and chatty, I appreciated the uniqueness of the questions --they were clearly designed to make sure I was a) serious and knowledgeable about marketing copywriting (insurance knowledge was negotiable), b) thoughtful about how I fit into a team dynamic, c) hungry and proactive, and d) able to think on my feet and express myself well. The questions were far from boilerplate and sometimes intentionally difficult to answer. Balance humility with honesty, intelligence, and ambition in your responses, and you'll do well. Note: You'll need a high-quality, wide-ranging writing portfolio to get to your first interview. This likely won't be your first marketing copywriting job, but it might be your second or third.
