No phone. 5 person onsite. New person every half-hour to hour. Felt that I did adequate on general technology questions but lacked practical knowledge of iOS programming which is what the position called for. In retrospect I don't think it was a terribly difficult interview but I was very poorly prepared. Interviewer asked me how I might store information in an app (believe that's using coreDB or at least was at the time) and I had no response. They were right not to hire me and it was a good kick in the butt for me.

Recruiter reached out to me, there was some back and forth, and a phone call that ended the process. The tech interviewer was very friendly and pleasant to talk to, but it was pretty clear that they were unimpressed with my skill set and background. That's life in the big city for ya lol. I have contempt for the recruiter for being pushy and lacking the decency to follow up after the interview. Call me old fashioned, but writing a paragraph takes all of a minute and given they started the process it seems appropriate that they end it. This was really the only thing about this process that annoyed me; the engineer I spoke with was cool. I didn't really think this was an interview that was worth my time given the experience I had, but I guess it was my fault for following through with it at all. Overall it was a useless distraction for everyone involved which is unfortunate, but a reality of dealing with larger tech companies.
