      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Vega IT (Londres, Angleterre) en janv. 2026

      Entretien

Short answer- TERRIBLE. The first interview with the Executive Partner based in London went well- He is professional yet conversational/still human. The second "people call" was with the people and culture business partner who is based in Serbia. I believe that having HR in the interview process is intimidating and unnecessary especially as they arent who employees would work allongside on a day to day basis. This department strictly serves business purposes and step in only towards/at the end of the employees employment. My sentiment is validated by this unique (in a bad way) interview process at Vega-IT. As the call began, the woman immediately started on her long list of questions, one of which was exactly "How do you think you can help us, with your skills, knowledge and experience?"... "How can you make our team even better to succeed in the UK Market?" **Confused face** Mind you, I was not sent a full job descrition, I was only headhunted on LinkedIn. I am confident in my skillset and competencies, but I cannot know which specific skills are best sutable for the role if I dont know what is expected of me. The interview honesly felt like I was on a bad date with someone looking to use me. The business reached out to ME believing my skillsets were enough to provide value. Interviews are to flesh out experience with the team the candidate will work allongside to fundamentally ensure there will be an equal exchange in value. All of her questions we cold, one-sided and business focused. The one question i got to ask was if she could provide more information about the role as this call felt more like a Q&A. She didn't answer, but did appologise saying she didnt want me to feel this call was a test. Then to my genuine surprise, continued in her exact Q&A format. No self awareness in this context. I continued for another 5 minutes before deciding to respectfully end the interview concluding that the company culture is not for me. I knew this 10 mins in. So I just regret not saying so earlier instead of at the 30 Minute mark. I can't imagine working at a company that does not feel reciprocal. I've had much better interviews elsewhere, so it was easy to spot this red flag. I hope this helps someone.
