Met with 3 people prior to the candidate exercises. Mainly asked what I did before, what I wanted to do now. I was presented with the candidate exercise. You get access to the application, help documentation, release notes and videos. The exercise is two parts, a presentation to the “customer” (other Veeva people) and a demo of the solution. I’ve read where others have said this is free QA but it’s not. It has everything to do with your ability to follow instructions, see your presentation skills and evaluate whether you can effectively use available resources. It took me 20 hours total to complete and the questions they (as the customer) ask during the presentation are exactly what you’d expect if you were presenting to a client. After the exercise I had a few cultural interviews with different people I’d interact with. All in all a positive albeit long process.
