Was contacted by a Vantage recruiter out of the blue on LinkedIn a week before eventual interview with HR. Was asked by recruiter who was very attentive and friendly to apply to a job. I followed all the steps and had an interview that went well and seemed like I was being sold the position and was told I would hear about next steps the following week once the hiring manager had reviewed my background. A few red flags in interview with HR - was told company was constantly pivoting and that they were "building the airplane while flying." Less than 36 hours following HR interview, I unexpectedly get a Workday email that I had been rejected. Unexpected as the HR interviewer had made a point of saying she would personally get back to me with next steps if any in about a week's time. Seems like I fell for a "faux interview," and was just boosting the numbers of "candidates" interviewed for the recruiters. A waste of time and feel misled.
