Applied via LinkedIn; asked for interview by in-house recruiter. Rejected, so I followed up for feedback - unfortunately, yet another example of a company failing/unwilling to provide any meaningful or constructive feedback:
"I really enjoyed the chat but unfortunately we had other candidates who we decided to progress with to latter stages."
How is that in any way helpful to the candidate? This laziness/stock response shows a complete lack of empathy for candidates on the market, who will have no doubt put in a solid amount of effort into researching the company, the role, the hiring manager etc.. Companies should be held to account as such, rather than treating every potential candidate as a commodity, as opposed to a proactive person looking for a new role.
