It's a 6 month process with multiple phases where you move farther in the process as you meet the criteria in each phase. The phases include an initial application, PT test, Captain's interview, month-long background investigation, Major's interview, polygraph exam, medical exam, and psychological evaluation. If you pass all of that then you get an offer. If you don't get an offer then they won't tell you what disqualified you.
