I recently had an interview with Unum for the position of Actuarial Consultant. While the interview was a positive experience, with engaging and professional interviewers, my follow-up experience has been less satisfactory.
Despite making multiple attempts to reach out via email and phone over the past 5-6 weeks, I have received no update on my application status, nor any feedback or communication. This lack of response has been disappointing, especially considering the initial professionalism demonstrated by the interviewers.
I understand that companies have various processes and timelines, but clear and timely communication is crucial for maintaining a positive candidate experience. I hope Unum can improve its follow-up practices to better respect the time and effort invested by candidates in the future.
