      Entretien

I want to be clear, everyone I spoke with at Untapped was extremely pleasant and smart and wonderful. I have zero complaints about the people. The process and the communication is what needs to be addressed. I interviewed at Untapped in March & April of 2022. The process took over a month in which I had 8 interviews, one included a panel of 3 people, and I met with a total of 10 people. It was an extremely time consuming process, I took much time off of work and put in so much effort and pride into preparing and into my presentation and all of my interviews. I kept being told by the recruiter that all of my feedback has been extremely positive and I have a great chance of getting an offer and to stay patient so they can give everyone else a chance at least. One recruiter even told me before my last interview that if the call went well, they would extend an offer. I thought the call went amazing and I was so excited and proud of myself. A few days later, I got a call from the same recruiter saying they are not giving me an offer because I don't have the right experience. A shock, to say the least. So over a month of interviews and being told an offer would be extended and that my chances were higher than the other candidates - now I don't have the right experience? This could have been determined after my initial phone call. Or after my second...or my third... Again, the people at Untapped are unmatched. I loved meeting and speaking to all of them. I have so much respect for everyone but you have to fix this process and your communication. Recruiters should always be neutral in my opinion, don't give someone false hope like that. It's so frustrating and sad and soul crushing to put in so much effort and to literally be told I would get an offer to have it ripped out from under you with a BS excuse like "you don't have the right experience." You should have had these conversations about experience way earlier in the process. The reason for my review, if anyone is reading this and is in the process of interviewing with Untapped - take it upon yourself and communicate heavily and ask for constant updates and ask these questions so you can avoid this shock and frustration. Anyone would be lucky to work here, I truly believe that. I'm still so sad I didn't get this position. But the process and the communication needs to be better. Candidates deserve that, it's brutal out here right now.
