Interview process was pretty straight forward. My first contact was the Talent Specialist, who reached out to me after applying for the Creative Developer position on the website. She was very professional and nice throughout the whole process. It was a very pleasant experience, since I felt she was carefully seeking out toward the best interest for the company and my goals in my career development. She has very responsive with communication through email and phone, answering any questions I had by reaching out to the best contact to gather information.
She first scheduled a phone interview with some team members to discuss each others experiences and requirements for role that was offered at Undertone. There were great conversations the involved the goals that they wanted to accomplished involving the future of advertising and marketing on web and mobile, which pertained to my knowledge, skill set, and interest.
The next stage was a in person interview with the team members I would be working with, which was also a great experience. They asked me professional questions involving the role and my goals. I felt the questions were appropriate by seeking out the best candidate. Having the high sense of quality and smart and creative personalities they had there, it made me more interested in the opportunity at Undertone.
After the in person interview, I was emailed a technical test with 3 days to complete from the Talent Specialist to get a sense what I was able to accomplished. The test was a project that dealt with responsive design and developing interactiveness to a web page. It was a very fun project, which I learned new information and resources by completing.
After receiving positive feedback from the Talent Specialist regarding the technical test. She gave me assurance that they would like to forward the process to fill in the role, which was great to hear. After waiting a couple days and I received a verbal offer over the phone from the Talent Specialist in which she was very professional and enthusiastic about offering me the role. It was very exciting, since I was on vacation when I received the news. She was very accommodating and understanding by giving me an enough time to read over the emailed offer on paper to sign and return when I got back from vacation.
My first day at the office, I was given a tour from the Talent Specialist of the beautiful working environment that had a lot of perks to it. I was given enough time to fill in the employee paperwork, before jumping into training and working with the team. I would have to say the first week has been great so far. I am learning a lot with previous provided work examples and documentation, which a lot of it is very impressive. The lead creative developer, who is essentially my mentor is very talented, smart and down to earth, as is the rest of my team and people I interacted with so far. Personally, they are great examples why Undertone is so successful.
Overall, the interviewing and hiring process took about 3-4 weeks, which was respectable since I felt they liked to do their due diligence pertaining to a role. I felt this was the best career move for me to work at Undertone, since the offered role involved growth, competitive compensation package, awesome working perks, valuable learning opportunities, mentorship, and collaborating with very smart and talented individuals on latest technology and trends on web and mobile. The future is very bright here. I am really looking forward to grow my career here and make a positive difference at Undertone!
