      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Uber (Chicago, IL) en juill. 2019

      Entretien

Long process and terrible communication for no offer. I was contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter in July, I was currently employed and not actively looking. I set up a time for a phone screen where after they asked me to set up a video interview. Went through the 30 minute video interview about a week later and was then told they wanted to move forward with an in person interview. Was asked to complete an assignment prior to the interview that needed to be turned in 24 hours before the interview. Had to travel downtown for the interview which was a 2 hour - 4 panel interview. During the interview it appeared things were going well, I asked multiple people if they had any concerns about me being able to do the job based on the information I have provided and my resume and was told multiple times no. Was even told by one how impressed they were with my experience and how much more it was than I lot of people that currently work there being a start up. After the interview I was told I would be contacted my by recruiter about next steps. She emailed me and told me that the panel would debrief my interview that Friday. Friday came and I heard nothing so I emailed Monday and was told that they had to move my debrief until the following Wednesday. I understand things happen and that is fine but it should have been communicated. I was then contacted from my recruiter again saying that the feedback after the debrief was very positive and they felt I would be a good fit for their consumer goods department. I was then told that I didn't interview with anyone from that department and was asked to have a video chat with the manager a few days later. At this point it seemed like they were going to want to move forward with an offer. Then after the video chat I had where the manager spoke with me for 13 minutes. He djdn't let me get through my resume, had one question for me and I asked him a question. So I had the impression that this was just a technicality. After this was told I would hear from my recruiter for next steps. Was then told again that they would be debriefing my interview that Friday and they would get back to me. Once again didn't hear anything so I reached out and heard nothing for days. Finally the next Tuesday my recruiter sent me an email asking if I had time for a call, I emailed back and didn't hear anything. I even tried calling her twice that day and never got an answer or a call back. Finally Wednesday afternoon I get a voicemail from my recruiter saying that she was sorry we couldn't connect the day before and they weren't going to move forward with an offer. Seriously?! All of that and you don't have the respect to talk to me in person and think a voicemail is professional? Never have seen an intensive process like this with terrible communication and a lot of wasted time for the interviewee. She encouraged me on the voicemail to apply for other jobs which I would never do since you didn't value my time enough to have a conversation with me. Very unprofessional.
