J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Uber (São Paulo, ) en mai 2016

      Entretien

In summary, the long process for selecting a general manager is: phone screen with recruiter, analytics test, creativity test, 2 interviews with peers, 1 interview with country leader, one presentation of a business plan for the city to which you are applying. All stages can eliminate you. The whole process was very long. I applied through LinkedIn. One month after that, I was contacted by the recruiter, who explained me how the process was and asked me already some questions. Those were in general more in depth business questions that I usually get from a HR person. Then I moved to the analytical test, which is pretty much an excel test with some "what would you do" type of questions. If you know how to do pivot tables and vlookup, it should not be hard. Then I move to the creativity test. At this point I felt they were taking advantage of the recruiting process to fish for ideas. I had to suggest marketing campaigns, KPIs, and so on. After many weeks I got a reply that I was approved and had to prepare for the interviews. The HR person was very detailed on explained what would be evaluated in the interview, what competences they were seeking and what type of questions to expect. I also heard that my test's results were not so good because I hadn't put much effort to it! I honestly felt very tired of the whole thing. I started thinking of the chances I had of actually getting the job x the amount of time and work I would have to put to it (preparing a detailed business plan + 90 min presentation). I decided to decline. Perhaps I am not Uber material anyways.

The hiring manager interview I recently had was outstanding. They were professional, genuinely interested, and created a relaxed atmosphere. Their insightful questions allowed me to showcase my skills and expertise effectively. They provided transparent insights into the company's culture and emphasized the importance of collaboration. Was very rude treatment, late start, joining halfway through a case presentation asking questions that have already been covered. This was after 1 week of preparation and several rounds on interviews.

Took weeks between each interaction. Guess it was because they hadn't decided 100% to move into the market where I'm located, but still. Ended up with nothing that I guess was the best for both parties.
