I applied to UST(Kochi) through Jspiders(Bangalore) for an opening describing sql and linux. (Kindly note that the job role wasn't informed to me at the time) It took them almost a month and half to reach back to me regarding the first round which was basically aptitude, verbal, linux. After 4-5 days they made retake the test saying the first one didn't count due to unknown reasons. Again, after 4-5 days a technical round was set up and they asked few questions on sql and OOPs concept. It is during this round they actually told me what my job role is and I decided to carry on with the interview bcuz I really needed a job. After a week they informed me that a client interview will be set up and I said I'm okay with that. A day or two later they told me that the client expect me to know about Azure so just learn a little basics from the internet and set up a meeting in a couple of days. In the client round again some questions related to sql, about my final year project and azure were asked. I honestly answered everything except for Azure where i told them couldn't learn much but if it is necessary I can learn better. They decided to hire me and conveyed to the company that I need to take a certification course which I agreed to but the HR said they would like to have a meeting regarding this and let me know. After a week, she informed me that the management decided that there is no need of position like this to be filled at the moment and that it is kept on hold meanwhile I'm free to try elsewhere. The HR was a really good person. I did find her to be very dedicated to her work and tried to help me out in every way possible. I liked that part because not many people do that. Honestly it was really disappointing because I was hoping I would get this job and it's ok!
