I received an email for a phone interview from who would be my direct supervisor. The was a panel of about 4 individuals on the call. They took turns asking questions. It was very much so a structured interview. 2 days later I received an email for a Zoom interview with the Manager of the dept. Also, at this time my status in the online system was changed to "hiring list." The zoom call was with 2 individuals. Similar to the phone interview, the interview was very structured, there were quite a few behavioral/technical questions, but all relevant for the position. At the end of the call, I was told that I'd hear back in about a week. A month later and crickets...I assumed that the decision was a no after obsessively checking my email and online job status for about a week after the day I was told I'd hear back. It sucks that I had to assume. The interviewers were very pleasant, but it would have been nice to at least receive an online status update, or even a generic "we're moving fwd with another applicant" email.
