I interviewed with a DM / area manager. They informed me they were an internal promotion and new to the role. It was clear they were reading questions from a list. After answering the questions in great detail they would say “great, can you elaborate?” Every single time. They also seemed a bit combative at times. I was told I would be contacted to move on to the next round, but never heard back. I emailed, following up, but never received a response. Prior to my interview, I reached out to another manager. They told me they were leaving the company bc of this person.

I recently advanced to the final stage of the interview process with UNTUCKit, where I was instructed to deliver an 8-minute presentation on a topic of my choice to a panel of executives from across the country. When I inquired about the specifics of the presentation, I was not provided with any guidance. Examples given included yoga, cooking, or dog tricks. Based on this experience, I advise future candidates to prepare a performance or presentation unrelated to the job responsibilities, as this seems to be expected. Overall, this aspect of the interview process felt disorganized and disconnected from assessing job-related competencies. Additionally, I found limited information about UNTUCKit's interview process on platforms like Indeed and Glassdoor. Some candidates have described the process as "pretty easy," noting that it involved speaking with multiple people before the actual interview. Others mentioned that the process was "pretty lengthy," with interviewers being "extremely nice and welcoming." However, there was no mention of the presentation component I encountered, suggesting it may be a recent or isolated addition. In conclusion, while UNTUCKit may be experimenting with new interview techniques, the lack of clarity and relevance to the job role in this presentation exercise was frustrating and unhelpful in evaluating my suitability for the position.
