Three rounds: first with hiring manager, second with a panel, third in person with hiring manager. They checked references with my current manager before making an offer. I had a great reference from my manager, but it made for an unfortunate working situation after they extended an offer to another candidate. I wasn’t made aware of the fact that they were checking references with multiple candidates before making an offer.
