      Entretien pour Inside Sales Supervisor

      14 avr. 2011
      Candidat à l'entretien anonyme
      Denver, CO
      Aucune offre
      Expérience négative
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. Le processus a pris 5 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Trulia (Denver, CO) en févr. 2011

      Entretien

First I interviewed with the staffing agency and they recommended that I interview with them. The Phone Interview went okay, they specifically needed to know WHY I wanted to work for Trulia.com (hello, I need a job?!) and they felt my answers weren't good enough as for why Trulia.com so I was declined for the 1:1 Interview. Then after being rejected, Trulia.com called me back and said they wanted to interview me. Good right? Someone must not have worked out which shows interview candidates face-to-face and not based on phone interviews. During my 1:1 interview with the Manager, I knew instantly I wasn't going to get the job. Questions like: --"How do you recognize an employee isn't performing at goal?" --"How do you coach an employee to bring their numbers up?" --"You look nice and sometimes we goof off around here, how do you get employees back on task" (I was kind of offended when they asked that) --"How do you use reports to coach to an employee?" --"Would you be willing to start off at the bottom and work your way up to the position you are applying for?" (Again, offended because I'm an experienced manager, not a rep) --"How can you tell on a phone call that isn't going so well?" --"Do you see yourself working here?" (What you think you want me to say lady? No?) --"Why were you laid off? Were you any good? What happened to your sales reps?" The Lady Manager was kind of rude and look uninterested in hiring me. They were looking for a manager who strictly uses reports to coach to improvement or firing instead of using people skills to tailor motivators for each rep (that's how I coach). And they were very interested in why I am unemployed. The next round was suppose to be with the counterparts and their opinion on me. Honestly, I didn't want to work for a company where my colleagues determine if they want to work with me and for a manager who didn't have a sales personality in a sales environment. So, both parties were happy.
