I applied through Indeed. As is customary with several jobs I’ve applied to, I was asked to submit an Indeed assessment. After scoring a “highly proficient,” I was asked to take a personality assessment. I assume I did well on the personality test because I then received an email to submit a Wedge Interview. The interview should have taken 10-20 minutes complete. It was not an in-person interview, but a video interview experience with real people asking questions or text questions appearing on the screen. Each question was timed. Yes, I could re-record answers, but the process was time consuming, uncomfortable, un-natural and caused me a great deal of anxiety. After this video interview experience, I decided I will never participate in one again. I do quite well on phone and in-person interviews, and feel confident that if either doctor or another designee met me, the person would have been impressed with my professionalism and skills. For this type of position, I think everything that was asked, prior to even meeting a real, live human being, was totally ridiculous. I understand the practice wants to find the perfect candidate, one who has the same values, a friendly personality, along with the skills, but they are expecting way too much pre-screening for this position. On a side note, I have two job offers with companies that took the time to meet with me, face-to-face, after phone interviews.
