J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Trip.com Group (Londres, Angleterre) en juin 2022

If anything, please avoid. I first received an invitation to chat with their Scottish recruiter (the only sane and lovely person there, it seems) in early May and the whole employment process (if employment is having to constantly chase them and remind about yourself and then wait for weeks for some answer) took three months. Nothing can be decided on the ground in Edinburgh, as these guys need to run every single question with Shanghai.
I was completely misguided in the first interview: given a wrong panel and wrong topics to prepare for and as a result I got to talk to the guy looking barely 20 who did nothing but nodded and smiled at me for an hour. No dialogue, just me trying to fill the silence and him smiling and nodding. Very weird.
Despite me fitting the requirements, they woke up two weeks later to tell me (via Edinburgh) that I am not suitable for the role (here's a reminder - they interviewed me for a different position without a warning or time to prepare).
Apart from the initial interviews, I also got a test to complete. It was badly done with paragraphs missing or repeating, Russian bits were all translated by Google Translate, not by a native and all in all, it was just a shame to see such a test even existed.
I have then tried for another position which was really close to my previous role in London. The interview process went ok this time, with two Asians who seemed adequate but with poor English altogether. Again, the decision was negative. I read the Glassdoor reviews beforehand and I knew that with Asians you have to tick all the boxes as they only care about the key words they hear during the interview but I never wanted to play by those rules.
The end verdict was that I lacked experience (4 years of exactly same experience in a global company which ranks much much higher than TRIP.COM were certainly not enough).
I was then offered a third position and by this point I have already grown tired and angry with the employment process which is incredibly slow and full of failures on their side and it also only goes through recruiters in Edinburgh who act as middlemen/women for Asians. Clearly, nothing can be decided in the actual Edinburgh office as they all seem to be puppets to 20 year old Chinese guys with robotic smiles and bad English.
The third position was mine if I wanted it but the salary of 25K is not smth I seek (the first role I interviewed for there was 40K). I declined and I only hope that no decent and experienced person comes close to this place.
The whole feeling is that they are not interested in who you are or what you did but they are looking to hear the right words they can tick off on their list and that's it.
Also, in any position that implies leadership, they are not looking for someone who would be a "friendly" boss (smth I am used to here in the UK as all my team leaders and line managers were amazing people and we're still friends). Given the strict hierarchy in Asian society, they are looking for team leaders who would be hell-hounds rather than someone you can talk to about your difficulties. Hell-hounds with no agency, of course - as like I said, all the orders come from Shanghai anyway.
In general, this has been an incredibly time-wasting and irritating experience and I am now happy that I didn't get involved with a company like TRIP.COM. I hope this review will be useful and will maybe stop great professionals for trying their luck there. Seriously, don't waste your time.
