J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Triggit (San Francisco, CA) en avr. 2013

      Entretien

I was recommended through one of the COO's network and also found the position online. I was extremely excited because I really love what Triggit is up to. I think they have a great product, awesome culture, and a rad office. So I sent in my resume and cover letter to the provided email. I also had my common connection forward my email to the COO for review. I was contacted via email within 2 days from the COO and also the recruiter. The COO mentioned that she thought I would be good for this or another position within the company. The recruiter asked when the best available time to talk via telephone would be. So I set up my time to talk and was really excited to be considered for the job. The recruiter was very nice through the whole process and the overall interaction was very smooth. The interview on the phone took about 35 minutes. The recruiter called me about 15 minutes late. But I figured with a start up that they have so much stuff going on that it wasn't a big deal. The questions were pretty typical and I felt like I did really well on the phone interview. The recruiter told me that she was going to speak with the COO and I was probably going to be called in for an in person interview. She also mentioned that it sounds like I would really fit in with the culture at Triggit. I had to wait 5 days to get an email that just said that I wasn't right for the job. This threw me for a curve ball considering I thought that I at least would be called in to speak with someone in person. I think it is hard to really base a decision on someone just from a phone interview. Although I was devastated with the news I wanted to contact the recruiter to see if I could get any feedback at all about my interview. She picked up the phone immediately and was more than happy to answer any questions I asked about why I didn't get the job. At the end of the day she told me that the COO had changed her mind about the requisites for the job and I was no longer the applicant they were looking for. Apparently they were looking for someone with a finance background or something along those lines. So to all future applicants looking to apply at Triggit. Know this. Get in and grow into another position. Also for the first time in my life, it doesn't matter who you know.... The recruiter was awesome and I still would love to work here. Kinda sucks that I got passed up considering they would have had a lifer with Triggit. Hopefully one of them will read this after all the other 139 applicants aren't as awesome as I am, and THEY WILL HIRE MEEEEEEE<---------.
